Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair
Thanks to our friends at Neutrogena our skin is radiant and our dark spots have gone by the wayside.
We have been using the brand new Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Moisturizer, (one with SPF 30 for day and a formula without SPF for night.) Both products contain vitamin C and an accelerated retinol formula.
This product promises more radiant skin in just one week. After using this product for several weeks, it definitely made good on its promise. Our skin looks more even and dark spots have faded. Our skin’s texture is smoother and has visibly improved radiance.
After faithfully using these products we were very impressed. Each product retails for $19.99 and can definitely compete with higher priced products.
If you are looking to try a retinol product, these products are a great way to reveal fresh brighter skin in a short period of time.
While these products help – we still like to have a good coverage makeup for areas that we feel we still see a bit of discoloration and this is where we tried out our Neutrogena Healthy Skin Compact Foundation SPF 55 with Helioplex.
We absolutely LOVE this makeup! We were so excited to give it a try because we are always looking for a makeup with a SPF higher than 15. We also love the convenience of the compact.
This makeup goes on smoothly, blends easily and the oil-free formula is lightweight enough for touch-ups throughout the day. Our dark spots were completely covered and when we wore it outside with the kids it didn’t melt away or fade.

BB CREAM GIVEAWAY
When our friends at Aveeno suggested we try their BB Cream, we were hesitant. When BB creams first became a trend in America we tried a bunch, some costing close to $100 and haven’t always loved them.
The BB Cream, originally created in Korea, is meant to create a flawless look to the skin. These creams- which combine, anti-aging ingredients, SPF protection, primer and tinted moisturizer can be used underneath foundation or by themselves for a sheer radiant coverage. We have found some formulas can be too thick and chalky or sometimes don’t provide enough coverage.
We were pleasantly surprised by Aveeno’s formula. Aveeno’s CLEAR COMPLEXION BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 is an oil-free cream that has a nice texture and feels good going on the skin. The formula contains light-reflecting minerals which helps skin to look bright and radiant not chalky.
On top of concealing, the “ACTIVE NATURALS® Total Soy Complex” in the cream also helps fade the look of marks from past breakouts.
The BB cream is oil free, hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic and contains Broad Spectrum SPF 30 which helps prevent skin from future damage.

Just when we announced our obsession with Grapefruit – our friends at Neutrogena sent us something AMAZING!!!
We have been using these Neutrogena pink grapefruit oil-free cleansing wipes after the gym to prevent breakouts or in the morning before our skincare to get a squeaky clean feeling to our skin, while smelling that citrusy grapefruit scent.
25 towlettes are $6.99 at Target, and great for travel. Skin is thoroughly cleansed and treated with salycilic acid for a great start to the day!

Grapefruit Love
With spring still weeks away, we were looking for a boost to uplift our spirits.
When we splurged on a new grapefruit hand soap from NEST($22) with the main ingredient being “pink pomelo grapefruit” we were hooked after a few luxurious handwashing moments.
With a little more research we discovered that grapefruit essential oils have anti-depressant qualities, and have been proven to improve mood and clear and focus the mind.

Winter pick-me-up
When Laura Mercier first introduced her caviar sticks last year we fell in love. These creamy sticks of color can be used as a smudge-proof liner or sheered over the lid to be used as shadow. Now Laura Mercier is delivering these colors in shimmery pastels for spring.
Available in a total of 17 colors, some are darker and best used for liner while the new spring shades can be swept across the lid for a fresh wash of color.

Gloss for less! Concealer!!
We always get super excited when we happen to stumble upon a great product at a great price. While traveling recently, we misplaced our concealer and needed a replacement quickly. We came across Maybellene FIT Me at a local drugstore, at under 7$ we thought we would give it a try.
We were pleasantly surprised, although the consistency is thinner and more liquid than our other favorites, it still managed to do a great job at covering up.
Maybelline describes it on their website as “No oils, no waxes,….natural coverage that leaves skin the way it was meant to be…”
The formula is non-comedogenic, dermatologist-tested, ophthalmologist-tested, fragrance-free and it really concealed our dark circles.
While the holidays approach, everyone is looking for ways to save. Available in six different shades and retailing for around $6.50, this is a good bet.
